Maa Sarada Debi (22 December 1853 – 20 July 1920) was the community mother of Ramkrishna Math and Mission, she was also the wife and accomplice of Ramkrishna Paramahamsa who was the Bengali Hindu religious teacher of 19th-century. The devotees called her Srisrima. She had an undeniable role in the development and expansion of Ramakrishna movement.
Sarada Debi was born in Jairambati village and her maiden name was Saradamani Mukhopadhyay. She was married to Ramakrishna at the age of five. She was spent rural women life very closely but during her lifespan and later, she become as an incarnation of great power and worshiped by devotees. The disciples of Sri Ramakrishna consider her as their mother. After the guru’s death, they came to her for advice and encouragement. The whole life of this great woman was the dedicated of kindness and renunciation.
